Dr. Josh Moffett
Dr. Josh Moffett is a 2019 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine and has dedicated his entire veterinary career to serving pets and families across the great state of Arkansas. He began in private practice before joining the Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Board of Animal Health as a Field Service Veterinarian. Since 2022, he has practiced emergency medicine in Central Arkansas, providing critical care for pets when they need it most.
Dr. Moffett thrives in the fast-paced environment of emergency medicine, where he finds great fulfillment in helping pets and supporting their families through some of life’s most stressful moments. This passion is what led him to opening LocalVet Urgent Care. He is also an active leader within the profession, having served on the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association Board of Trustees. Outside the clinic, he is a devoted father of five who cherishes every opportunity to spend time with his family.
Dr. Moffett brings two years of large animal experience to the clinic, and one of his more memorable cases was removing a tumor from the eyelid of a zebra. Today he serves as Acting State Veterinarian and Vice President of the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association, and sits on the advisory committee for the veterinary technology program at ASU-Beebe.
At home, his family shares their life with four Dachshunds, a Greyhound, an Australian Shepherd, three cats, a turtle and a tortoise. Dogs are his favorite patients, and his most unusual talent is juggling five kids.

Welcome! I’m Kathryn, the Practice Manager at LocalVet. My passion is creating a warm, welcoming experience where pets receive exceptional care and their families feel informed, supported, and valued every step of the way.
I’ve spent my career in veterinary medicine and practice management, and one of my favorite parts of this work is being surrounded by people who truly care about animals. I love finding ways to make the client experience better, supporting our amazing team, and creating an environment where our doctors and technicians can focus on what they do best—taking great care of your pets!
What I’m most excited about is being part of an independently owned practice right here in the community I call home. Being locally owned gives us the opportunity to build genuine relationships with the families we serve and make decisions based on what’s best for our patients and our community. I believe every pet deserves high-quality, accessible veterinary care delivered with kindness, honesty, and compassion.
When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll usually find me browsing a local thrift store with an iced coffee in hand, enjoying the walking trails at Mills Park with my beloved dog, Dutch, or having dinner with my husband, Ryan, at one of our favorite local restaurants, like Different Dough Pizza Co.! A few other favorites – I love all things Fall, 70’s décor, the color orange, Razorback football, Podcast and my family!
